First of all apologies for the fact that this post is not in German. My written German is not good but I have no problem reading it so any replies can be in German. My question is if anyone has any experience in using FUGAWI or Quo Vadis in conjuction with the Russian staff maps of North Africa. Are these maps suitable for planning day to day trips and transferring the waypoints to the GPS. Which program is better for the above mentioned purpose, Fugawi or QV? Thanks in advance, Jacob IP: Gespeichert |

The Russian maps are great off road and on tracks. In Algeria the structure is even better then on the IGN. Navigating in densly populated areas you first have to get used to the Russian letters. The Maps are distributed by Touratec QV.The calibration for QV is aleady done. As far as I know you have to calibrate them for Fugawi manual. So QV is the better option. OZI Explorer might be an alternative too. It can also handle the maps and is even cheaper. regards IP: Gespeichert |
